I realize that most of the pictures on my blog are of me in running attire and sweaty! So, here's a shot of me from last week when I am actually wearing something respectable. :)

May Race

2 weekends ago, I ran the Mayfest 5K in Fort Worth. Very fun race, sponsored by Luke's Locker so it was also very professional and full of their "Grass Roots" runners. I started behind a girl in a running tank that said "Burmuda" on it. She was about my size and  had a Garmin on so I assumed she was experienced. I tailed her the whole time! Almost ran a PR too! 10:01 mile splits, not bad!

Sleeping doesn't cut it.

I mean, really. How hard is it to just get out of bed and go exercise?! Apparently, very hard. Because after months of training like a badass for my half marathon, I have been sleeping in like a ninja since January.

And I wouldn't matter, except my pants don't fit. Not a one of 'em. Not awesome. Not how I want to go into summer. Gotta take care of this now!!!

On April 30, Ben turned 3! Time really dies fly! He had a Disney Junior party and his cake had all his favorite characters on it. Patricia baked the cakes and cupcakes and then she and I decorated together.
