Neon Desire...

I REALLY want to buy this running top from Target. It's only $12. But I haven't even run 12 times in the last 2 months! How can I justify that!

So I figure, if I can go run everyday till we leave for vacation next Sunday, then I will let myself buy it. Let's see how that works for motivation!

No, I am not Kim Kardashian

I know what you're thinking. "But you ARE Kim Kardashian, aren't you?" I mean, I really do get that all the time, and I can see why! First, we are both human. As that is a rare commodity I share with only...6,927,785,438 other people, I think that's worth mentioning first. Next, we both come from very exotic lineage. Kim is Armenian and her parents are famous just as she is. My heritage is German Lutheran with a touch of Irish and French. My parents are also famous, but of course I don't need to tell you that.

But the real reason people assume I am Kim, is our looks. With her raven hair and dark eyes, it's easy to see how I am constantly confused for Ms. K. Couple that with my tummy and lacking backside and it makes impossible to tell us apart.

So...I know I can't dance...

So You Think You Can Dance is the closest thing to what I do on TV today. You'd think I'd say Glee, but that'd be only half true. Sure, Glee is actually about my profession, but it's not like what I do. While watching the last round of city auditions tonight, in LA, I was struck by how much this show is like my show choir. People audition year after year, sometimes they get to choreography, sometimes they get to Vegas, and sometimes after many tries, they make the top 20. Just like VOC, some kids try for YEARS to make the group and when they finally do, OH! What a payoff! And then there is the alumni. SYTYCD always has previous season dancers sitting in the audience during city auditions, cheering on the newbies, checking on their legacy. VOC is no different.
