Why not us, why not now?

What an amazing 2 weeks it's been!

I have to start this story at the end. The flight home from a long but amazing weekend.

Bobby Knight is sitting behind me in first class. This is significant for 2 reasons:

Style: I feel often like Bobby Knight when directing my show choir kids. Granted I have yet to throw a chair, but the desire has been present. I am the female Bobby Knight of show choir.

Heritage: I'm a Hoosier and I'm pretty sure much of my competitive spirit comes from those Midwest roots of mine. We're fighters. The winningest coach in the NCAA is in my flight. That's gotta be a good sign.

Anyway. We had such a great time! 13 out of 19 groups present, beat out 2 groups who we lost to in Orlando! It was awesome. The kids also got to see the Seurat live and in person, which was amazing. Check out the photos!

Nationals what?!

So, VOC won a wildcard spot to Nationals. And it's been pure insanity ever since. Trying to raise the funds, cover kids costs, etc has been crazy! Today was the day of travel madness as we finally got plane tickets confirmed at 2pm and by 4pm needed to have them purchased and ticketed with full names and Dobs. Agh! It all actually went through though, which is the truly amazing part!!
